I come from a rich mix of different cultures. I speak 5 languages , though Portugese is the only one I learnt as an adult. My passion for cooking is inherited from my mom .
My husband and I both appreciate gourmet food. I believe cooking is a process which is healing in itself.
We also have a restaurant called Sultanas Restaurant (named after my mother Razia Sultana and my daughter Natasha Sultana , which means 'Queen ') where we offer Arabic, pakistani/ indian and American cuisine.
Freshly made Pakoras (different vegetables fried in chickpea flour based covering) with mint chutney. OR Namak paray (fried small pieces of flat dough which are salty) served with mango chutney.
Haleem (a mixture of 7 lentils and grains and meat which is cooked for atleast 4 hours over low heat) with freshly baked Pakistani bread called Naan. And many condiments.
Gulab jaman. Small soft juicy balls of milk based sweet dough cooked in rose water and cardamom.
